Alaverdi Copper-Chemical Combine is an industrial enterprise in Alaverdi, Lori marz. It was established in 1957 by merging Alavard copper smelting (founded in 1770) chemical plants. In 1997, the plant was privatized but was closed in 2018. The Combine used raw materials from Kajaran, Agarak, and several other places’ copper-molybdenum plants. It produces copper with complete cycles, sulfuric acid, and copper ions. It occupied a leading place in the country with the production of copperplate. Copper rye was exported to more than 20 countries: Bulgaria, Poland, Cuba, Sweden, Japan, India, etc. After 4 years, the foundry reopened with new conversion melting furnaces. 

According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, the volume of industrial production in Armenia in January-February 2022 amounted to 365,2 million drams (in current prices), increasing by 9.7% compared to the same period in 2021.
