San Francisco-based messenger marketing platform ManyChat has announced the opening of a new R&D office in Yerevan. The product development and engineering office in Yerevan has already employed more than 100 specialists in design, product management, data analysis, and customer service.

ManyChat is a platform that allows businesses to communicate with customers through popular instant messengers: VKontakte, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, or WhatsApp. Soon Viber will also connect to the system. Today it is used by more than 1,000,000 companies in 160 countries around the world. And the value of the company has long passed over $ 100 million.

ManyChat announced that it is excited to be able to connect with the local IT community and plans to continue expanding its team of top talent to support company growth and create more value for our customers.

The IT sector in Armenia over the past 10 years has shown unprecedented growth, recording an average annual growth of 23%. Over the past 2 years, more than 20 start-up companies in Armenia have received a total of $700 million in investments. Armenian start-ups with less than 30 employees are exempt from income tax until the end of 2023, and the income tax for employees is 10%. As of 2021, the total turnover of IT companies operating in Armenia exceeded $1 billion. As of 2021, the industry employs 29,000 professionals.
