The Armenian government adopted amendments to the Law on the State Budget of 2022 in order to finance the work on the program for the overhaul of buildings and structures within the framework of the Gyumri City Roads program.

The cost of the project is about €23.84 million, of which €14.6 million is a loan provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. As part of the program, 37 streets have already been repaired. Throughout the past 5 years, Gyumri has become one of the fastest growing tourist destination for the domestic market, meanwhile, the infrastructure of the city is keeping up with the renewed demand.
