In the coming months, the Charentsavan machine-building plant will begin to assemble armored vehicles under its own brand. The production is carried out together with the Russian factory «Rida», which is engaged in car booking and is known for its model «Buran».
Last year, two samples were manufactured at the Charenzava plant, which were transferred to the Defense Ministry for testing. In parallel, Armenian specialists were trained at the partner factory in Nizhny Novgorod.

The assembly will start with the SKD assembly, but by the end of the year, they plan to localize the production of reinforced glass. The chassis for cars will be produced in Russia following the example of the «Sadko» GAZ-3308 but with several features proposed by Armenian engineers.
The new car will be called «Lusan», and it can be of several types: five-, six-, ten-seat, pickup or semi-pickup, evacuation car, etc. Localization of production was enough for the Society of Automobile Engineers (SAE) to provide the Charentsavan plant with the manufacturer’s identification code (WMI), which would give the VIN codes to «Lusan». Cars will also be certified in accordance with the requirements of the EAEU.
The main customer of the company will be the Defense Ministry of Armenia, but the buyers may also be other organizations, for example, banks. The company also has preliminary arrangements for export.
