In 2008, unyielding faith in the art of wine drove Varuzhan Muradyan and his family to uproot their lives in Los Angeles and embark on a generational journey in Armenian wine culture. And so Van Ardi (The Sun of Van) was born. Located in the ancient winemaking region of Aragatsotn, Van Ardi is one of the first boutique wineries of the Armenian wine renaissance. The company's vision of placing Armenia on the global map is well underway. In the company's vineyards one can hear classical, jazz, and Armenian compositions throughout the year. Sound affects the structure of water, of which there is plenty in the grape berry. The company believes these sounds and positive energies go a long way and become important ingredients in Van Ardi wines. The company currently exports to a range of the European countries and is looking for partners to expand.
