The first Armenian robot based on artificial intelligence Robin expands its geography and attracts new investments. Expper Technologies has invested $2 million through venture capital companies. «Robin, unique in its kind, was created and will be developed in Armenia, proving that it is possible to produce complex products in Armenia that will help people around the world», - said Karen Khachikian, director of Expper Technologies. Robin already works not only in various institutions in Armenia but also in the United States (for example, in hospitals where Robin accompanies children and the elderly).

According to Karen Hachikian, today in the US alone, the state spends about $1.2 trillion on various categories of medical care at the expense of public funds, and the world lacks more than 30 million medical workers, and the company is trying to fill this gap. This year it is planned to increase the number of employees by 6 dozen. By thе way, 7-year-old Robin was recognized as one of the 100 best discoveries of 2021 prestigious magazine TIME.

Over the past 10 years, the IT sector in Armenia has shown unprecedented growth, recording an average annual growth of 23%. Over the past two years, more than 20 start-up companies in Armenia have together received 700 million dollars of investment. Armenian start-ups are exempt from taxes on business, and the income tax for employees is 10%. According to 2021 data, the total turnover of IT companies operating in Armenia exceeded 1 billion dollars. As of 2021, the industry employs 29,000 professionals.
